Oral History Toolkits in Peace and Mobilities
Research
Oral history research serves as the primary investigative tool of our
project.
This methodology provides empirical material on how perceptions
of peace and violence are transformed during the migration process. We
plan to conduct oral history interviews both within war-affected regions
of Ukraine and in other countries where Ukrainians have been displaced
during the war.
The project includes an analytical examination of the interviews
and the creation of a publicly accessible digital collection, allowing
other researchers and experts to engage with this valuable material for
further investigation and practical applications in peacebuilding and
conflict resolution.

By the voices of those directly affected by
the war, we seek to contribute to a broader
understanding of peace and violence in times of
displacement and conflict.
These efforts are of great significance to us,
as they not only foster the development of
innovative research approaches but also provide a
space for building an academic community. We
look forward to fruitful collaboration and
knowledge exchange with all project participants.
