The north.The animal world is extremely rich, its diversity depends on
climatic zones and the peculiarities of the flora. In the north, in the
tundra zone, there are polar bears and reindeer. Among the latter
there are caribou deer, which are known for their ability to swim
and go far south, they feed on lichens.

The forest steppes.In the forest steppes, American bison are found — relatives of
European bison, which are divided into forest bison and steppe
bison, pronghorn antelope, steppe wolves and coyotes, and steppe
sheep live in the mountains.

The taiga.In the taiga zone, the animal world is richer. Martens, weasels,
minks, American elk, wolves, lynxes, Canadian beaver, muskrat,
black and brown bears live here. It is also home to the wolverine, a
predatory mammal of the marten family. Among the special North
American animals, porcupine porcupine, which lives in trees, can
be distinguished. In vast forest areas, you can find animals typical
of Eurasia, for example, wolves and foxes, as well as special
species: red lynx, black-legged ferret, grizzly bears, marsupial
rats,opossums.

The south.In the south of North America, in areas of semi-deserts and
deserts, several species of rattlesnakes live. Alligators and alligator
turtles live in the humid tropics, as well as huge bullfrogs. A bird of
prey, the red—tailed buzzard, lives in the sky, and pink spoonbills
resembling herons live on the warm coast of Florida.
