that Progress RSC a world famous enterprise.

History of the plant
«Progress» traces its history back
to 1894.The ancestor of the
plant was the Moscow factory
«Dux» for the production of
bicycles .Later it was
nationalized ,and the plant
established on its basis
produced aircraft.

State Aviation Plant No. 1 (GAZ No. 1) was evacuated from Moscow to Kuibyshev. It took just 10 days to move an
already on October 8 the plant began work in a new location. The factory workers, in incredibly difficult conditions
up production of Mig-3, IL-10 and attack aircraft IL-2. The first of them took off in December 1941.

In1961 the Kuibyshev plant
«Progress» launch vehicle

manned launches have been
provided by Samara rockets.

Currently, the Samara rockets Soyuz-U, Soyuz-FG, Soyuz-ST are in operation. With their help, manned and cargo
spacecraft are launched under the ISS program from Baikonur.
