Task
The purpose of this assessment is to develop an understanding of what was learnt during the module in particular the skills learnt to develop a business idea and create a business model.
Note
This assessment provides students with an opportunity to put into practice the relevant tools and practices in relation to the business they came up with and plan to create.
Note
You should plan to spend approximately 20 hours researching, reviewing the course slides, planning and designing the presentation. You are expected to select the Harvard Referencing Style if you are using any sources for the information being given in the
presentation.
Each individual student should also present a Reflective Notes template in Word Format or pdf format about this presentation.
The presentation should be 20 minutes long and students will be expected to answer questions made by the students in class as well as the tutor.
Choose a product of your preference, excluding those covered in class, and apply the SCAMPER technique to explore innovative ways to enhance and modify the chosen product.
In your 20-minute presentation, provide a detailed explanation of the SCAMPER method, elucidating each component with practical examples. Utilise compelling graphics, diagrams, or product visualisations to illustrate how each element of
SCAMPER can be effectively employed to generate creative ideas for product development and improvement.
Additionally, discuss the potential impact of the proposed modifications on the product's market appeal, functionality, and competitive advantage.

It is a portable and foldable device
that is used to provide the
protection
from
various
environmental conditions
e.g. ( sun protection and Rain
Resistance )
They came in various shapes and
styles depends on the customer
requirement
about
which
environmental condition he want to
be protected .

Its is a techniques which give the
direction to make a product in a
new innovative and effective way
Lets have a look how can we
apply the scamper technique to
create
umbrella
in
more
innovative and useful form.

Substitution made in the umbrella’s
material that will make it more
environmental friendly.
We will name it Eco-Friendly
Umbrella .
All the material used will be more
environmental
friendly
and
recyclable.
Like all material used for Go Green.

We will use many functions
and combine in our umbrella
that will give user more
comfort and usage for this
umbrella.

• Torch
• Temperature Indicator
• Charger

We created the umbrella with the
extreme weather adaptation.
Its material is so strong and
basically design to deal with heavy
wind mishaps.

We made the huge modification in
the design by creating this more
user comfort oriented .
It will folded as a hand bag and
you can put anything according to
space into it.

5- Putting to another use
We created multifunctional as
shown in picture.
It can be used as standing
umbrella and created lights
inside it by support of a small
but more powerful battery .
It is also created with
adjustable stand and moveable
top with beautiful lights .

6- Elimination
We eliminated the hurdles of
using the umbrella and make
it more convenient for the
users.
Like we only putt buttons that
will manage the umbrella
activities .
It can be open and closed with
it and also resize according to
requirement of the user .

7- Reverse
We created the drip free
innovation that maintain the water
inside on the top of umbrella and
it will prevent dripping of water
and make us more comfortable
while using it.

Conclusion :
In the whole presentation we created an umbrella in the more innovative style
according to the current requirement of the market . The SCAMPER technique
make it more logical and effective to create the umbrella innovatively .
This give us an idea that umbrella’s are not only for traditional use . But can be
used for modern requirements with complete modifications.
