The presence of ventilators in the world, according to statistics, at the time of the pandemic

The availability of ventilators in Russia, according to statistics, by the time the pandemic
began, was 27 complexes per 100 thousand people. A similar indicator in the United States is 30%
lower, and Italy experienced an acute shortage of such equipment (Fig. 4).

According to the calculations of DISCOVERY Research Group analysts, the volume of the ventilator
market in Russia in 2018 amounted to 3,995 units. In 2019, in physical terms, it increased by 37.3%,
amounting to 5487 units, and in 2020, due to the pandemic, by 112%, or 11680 units (Fig. 5).

The main volume of supplies falls on the Aventa-M device.
The share in the procurement of Aventa-M from UPZ in 2019 was 6.9%, or 286 units for 450 million
rubles. Other devices from UPZ - "Vela", "Phase", "Potok" and others - occupied another 1,6%, or 66 pieces
for 70 million rubles.
The Russian company Triton-Electronics also had a significant share (4.5%, 187 units for 270 million).
In 2019, most ventilators (in physical terms) were exported from Russia

In the second half of 2019 and the first half of 2020, UPZ produced 372 ventilators with a total value
of about 537.2 billion rubles.

The main suppliers of imported components for ventilators at the UPZ are China (58%)
and Germany (22%) (Fig. 9).

At the same time, according to Forbes and RAVEN experts, only 40% of ventilator
components purchased in China are Chinese-made products, the remaining 60% are
products manufactured in the United States and European countries purchased in China.

Due to its low weight (4 kg), size and the ability to work offline, the device is suitable for use in
hospitals of medical institutions, as well as at home and on a walk. The functionality of the device
in standalone mode is provided by a built-in battery for three hours without recharging. AIVL-D is
equipped with a moisture and dust-resistant housing. The parameters of the device can be
adjusted for respiratory support for both adults and children. AIVL-D is equipped with pulse
oximetry and body temperature sensors. The device can be installed vertically and horizontally,
while the built-in rotation sensor will expand the screen to a convenient position for the user.
It is planned to register with Roszdravnadzor in 2024.

Mechanical ventilation with the function of comprehensive monitoring of lung dynamics without
radiation. It allows you to visualize the filling of the lungs during breathing, assess the degree of
their damage - including in viral pneumonia, as well as in the case when doctors need to adjust
the strategy of respiratory support by adjusting the volumes of the respiratory mixture supplied
to the patient. Tomography is performed by a safe for humans electrical impedance method,
which is based on recording the level of electrical conductivity of human internal organs. It is
planned to produce both ventilators with a built-in tomograph and a tomograph as an
independent product.
