1.The principle of the hot knife is to break film at
high temperature, which is easy to adjust and
operate. There is no blade, so no need
adjustment and chain maintenance.
2. Hot knife is suitable for all kinds of paper
3. Even if there is a gap in the paper, the cutting
effect still keeping good.
4. Hot knife has good stability , meters/min
operation is stable.
Chain Knife
1. The chain of chain cutter will be worn and loosened in
the course of using, and need to be maintained regularly
and should be filling Oil many times. The Chain cutter
wears quickly especially during high speed operation.
2. Chain knives have high requirements for paper.
If the quality of paper is not good, the blades will
cut corners.
3. If there is a gap in the middle of the paper, the cutting
blade will fly away, which will make it impossible to cut off.
4. That makes high requirements to adjust high and low of
chain knife ,If not the Cutting paper incision with tail film
5.The running speed is over 50 meters/min,the cutting
stability is poor.
NOTE: The above shortcomings of chain knife can not be fundamentally solved by any company. The future
trend of hot knife will inevitably replace chain knife.
