The aim of the research
to identify the reflections of stereotypical ideas about
money and wealth in English proverbs, sayings,
aphorisms, and famous people’s quotations.

to investigate stereotypes linguistically (semantic, cognitive, and
linguocultural perspectives);
to examine money and wealth as linguistic study objects;
to identify proverbs, sayings, aphorisms, and quotations as
stereotype expressions;
to establish a lingua-cognitive framework for analyzing wealth and
money stereotypes in English-language expressions;
to identify positively, negatively, and ambivalently evaluated features
of wealth and money stereotypes;
to determine attitudes of native English speakers towards these
stereotypes.
