Oil tanker
• An oil tanker carrying oil and fuel

Mud Volcano
• In 2006, PT Lapindo Brantas workers
were looking for natural gas on the

the place was potentially dangerous for
work. And even when, after the initial
stage of drilling, steam, hydrogen
sulfide and mud were released two

workers did not stop drilling. In the

and two months later 11 surrounding
villages and rice fields with an area of
2.5 kilometers were buried under a
layer of mud. A gas pipeline exploded
under the pressure of mud, which killed
7 people.
