Reproductive organs – are those
organs that are responsible for the
birth of a person.
Through these organs, the process
of fertilization, gestation and birh of a
child is carried out.

The structure of female reproductive
organs
The organs of a
woman's reproductive
system have a
following building:
external sex organs:
pubis, large and labia
minora, vestible of the
vagina, bartholin
glands
intenal sex organs:
vagina, ovaries,
fallopian tubes,
uterus, cervix uterus.

The vagina
o The vagina is a tube about 8 cm
long.
The vagina has considerable
elasticity and the ability to change
in size.It contains bundles of
muscles that are abundatly
supplied with blood.

Fallopian tubes
o paires tubular organ with a lenght
of 10 – 12 cm, diameter of 2 – 4 mm;
o promotes the passage of the
egg from the ovarie into the uterine
cavity
o the fallopian tubes are located on both
sides of the uterine fundus

Uterus
The uterus is a hollow pear-shaped
organ.
She protects and provides nutrition
to the developing fetus

Ovaries
The ovaries produce female
gametes , as well as hormons,
that play an important role in the
mentrual cycle.
They secrete hormones such as
estrogen and progesterone.

The system of female
reproductive organs is much
more difficult than that of men,
since the most important function
of carrying and giving birth to a
baby falls on a women.
