The learning environment devises programmes that demand hard work
and challenge from all but without excessive overload.»Stretching and
challenging all learners means creating lessons where challenge is at the
forefront of teaching and learning. This takes learners out of their comfort
zone, encouraging them to push towards the outer edge of what is
possible for them to achieve.Encourage students to think deeply about
their learning; co-construct learning goals that require students to use
reasoning and exercise agency in solving problems. Plan realistic
challenges that support students to develop rigour and persistance. Be
sensitive to individual differences.

Assessment is an ongoing awareness of students' learning. It is
pivotal to analyze the growth and progress of the students to cater to
them effectively.
Assessment for learning and assessment of learning are two different
concepts that are often used interchangeably. This article will throw
light on the assessment for learning and types of assessment for
learning with examples. We had discussed the different types of
assessment in one of our previous blogs, you can read it here.
The above-mentioned blog will help you get a clear picture of the
different types of assessments.

The principle of building horizontal connections in learning refers to the idea
of creating associations between different pieces of information to enhance
understanding and retention. It involves linking new information to previously
learned concepts and building connections between different topics or
subjects. By doing so, learners can deepen their understanding of a
particular subject and increase their ability to retrieve information when
needed. Here is an example of how this principle can be used in an English
lesson:Vocabulary building: When introducing new vocabulary words, a
teacher can encourage learners to make connections between the new
words and related words they already know. For instance, if the new word is
"melancholy", learners can connect it to related words such as "sad",
"depressed", and "blue".
