The world's first flight took place on December 17, 1903.
Plane called the Flyer-1 and was designed by the brothers
Wright. During the first flight flying apparatus entire 37
meters for 12 seconds at a height of about 3 meters. On the same
day on this plane was made flight length of 260 meters.

The world's first plane was made of wood and it was a
gasoline engine with double wooden propeller. Flyer-1 could
only fly a headwind and with special rails. The world's first
engine aircraft was connected with a propeller bicycle chain.
Wingspan Flyers-1 was 12 meters long and weighs just 283
kilograms of aircraft, of which weighed 77 kg was engine.

Longest flight - 59 seconds, 260 meters range - makes the
older brother Wilbur.
So casually, without the crowds and fanfare in the sand
dunes of North Carolina began the era of aviation.
