but it can move its organs.

TROPISM MOVEMENT
Plant movement due to stimuli is
called as tropism.
Stimuli is a anything that cause
change.
According to type of stimuli there
are 3 types of tropic movement:
1. Phototropism (light)
2. Geotropism (gravity)
3. Chemotropism (chemicals)

There are two types of tropism
movement
according to direction:
1. positive = if direction is towards to
stimuli
2. negative= if direction is away from
stimuli

Phototropism
Stem has positive phototropism

Roots have negative phototropism

Geotropism
Roots have positive geotropism, but
stems have negative geotropism.

Chemotropism
Pollen tube grow toward the ovule
due to chemotropism

Nastic movement
It is non-directional movement of
plant organs.
According to stimuli there are :
1. Photonasty (light)
2. Nyctinasty (dark condition)
3. Thigmonasty (touch)
