William Henry Gates III
is an American entrepreneur
and chairman of Microsoft.
He was born and grew up in
Seattle, Washington USA.
His father was an attorney and
his mother was a school
teacher and chairperson of the
United Way charity.
Gates and his two sisters had a

Bill Gates was a modest , shy
boy and dreamt to become a
professor of mathematics. But
at school he didn’t succeed in
many subjects, in spite of the
fact that he had unique abilities
in mathematics and logistics .
He was not
a leader either. At school he
discovered his interests in
software and began
programming computers at 13.

He was only 15 when he wrote a programme for how to
regulate the traffic and earned 20 000 dollars for this

Harvard University. He was going to become a lawyer as

success. The

Microsoft began
with the MS-DOS
computer operating

At the age of 31 he became a billionaire.
For such a rich person, his life is simple,

charity, and says that he plans to give
almost all of his wealth when he retires.

manager of Microsoft. They have 3 children – two
daughters and a son. They live near Lake Washington.

Foundation.

knighthood from the queen of
England. He was bestowed
with the Knight Commander

the position of the
President of the
Microsoft Corporation
over to Steve Ballmer.

about 11 things , which as he considers , won’t be learned
in school. He says that education in the spirit of politically
correct teaching created a generation of kids with no
concept of reality and will not be able to survive in this

- Television is not real life. In

are you

working for one.

after high school. You won’t be a vicepresident with a car phone until you
earn both.
