Project mission
To form a talent pool of ITMO University’s young researchers and
faculty, who will contribute to education.

3.

Mentor
Is an undergraduate or postgraduate student at ITMO University who
helps the faculty and takes on a part of the tasks related to education.

4.

Mentors are able to:
participate in practical and/or laboratory classes;
assist in conducting tests and exams, consult before them;
assist in the preparation of handouts, tests, and tasks;
prepare study rooms/labs before classes;
support online courses ;
support students' projects;
etc.

Selection criteria
Grade point average - at least 4.5
Motivation letter
CV
Interview

Track 1.
Track 2.
Synchronous
With preliminary training
For those who are ready
to start working from
the beginning of the
semester.
For those who have not
previously studied at
ITMO or don’t know a
professor or a discipline
they'd like to assist.

7.

Track 1. Synchronous
• the applicants should already know the professor and the
discipline they will be during the semester of the current
academic year;
• employment at ITMO in the position of a mentor;
• training and work are simultaneous.

8.

Track 2. With preliminary training
• the applicants should just know the department where they
want to work;
• the complete mentor training program is necessary;
• selection of the best program participants for employment;
• choosing a discipline and a professor to assist;
• employment for the spring semester or later as a mentor.

The mentors’ training is 32 ac. hours for the first track and 108 ac. hours for the second track.

Workload and payment
• official employment
• 10 academic hours per week
• 15 000 rub net

12.

ITMO Interns
• the project has started in 2022
• for those students (3–4-year Bachelor students, Master
Degree and PhD students) who would like to get experience in
administrative sector

13.

Selection criteria
• Motivation letter
• CV
• Interview

14.

Tracks
• Internship (up to 3 months)
• Talent pool (up to 12 months
with further employment)

15.

Workload and payment
• official employment
• 10 hours per week
• 10 000 rub net
