STERLITAMAK. General information
I welcome you to Sterlitamak.
Sterlitamak is the second largest city in the
Republic of Bashkortostan. More than two
hundred and fifty thousand people live here.
Sterlitamak more than two thousand years.
The most famous sights of the city are the
Museum of Local History, Victory Park, Park
of Culture and Rest Yu.A. Gagarina
the State Russian Drama Theater, the art
gallery, the State Bashkir Drama Theater.

Victory Park
This park appeared in the 1960s in memory of
almost nine thousand fallen sterlitamaks during the
Great Patriotic War. After almost 30 years, a
monument to the soldiers-internationalists who did
not return from the Afghan war appeared in it.

Sterlitamak Museum of History and
Local Lore
One of the oldest
museums in the
Republic of
Bashkortostan. It
contains many
different collections.
This museum
appeared in 1918.

State Russian Drama Theater of
Sterlitamak
It is one of the oldest theaters in
Bashkortostan. It has a diverse repertoire.
The theater appeared in 1946.

Park of Culture and Rest
Yu.A. Gagarina
The park is intended for
families. There are
various attractions in the
park: family, children,
extreme. The park was
born in 1961, but the
first attractions began to
appear only in 1975.

Sterlitamak Art Gallery
There are various exhibitions of
contemporary art in the gallery. The
gallery was opened in 1999.

Sterlitamak State Bashkir
Drama Theater
This theater appeared in 1991. Theaters
also host various performances, which are
staged in Russian and Bashkir languages.
