A public research university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Founded in 1966 (from 1945 until then it was a branch of the
University of Alberta), the University of Calgary consists of 14
faculties and more than 85 research institutes and centers.
Currently, more than 25,000 students and 6,000 graduate
students study at the university. The university has graduated
more than 155 thousand graduates from 152 countries, including
the previous Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper and
Canadian astronaut Robert Sirk.

The University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine was founded
in 1967 and renamed the Cumming School of Medicine in
2014. It is one of two medical schools in Alberta and one of
17 in Canada . The faculty and Medical school are affiliated
with hospitals in Alberta Health Services, such as Foothills
Medical Center, Alberta Children's Hospital, Rockview
General Hospital , and Chinook District Hospital . The
Faculty of Medicine has 486 medical students (UME), 767
residents (PGME), 190 graduate students (PDF) and 491
graduate students. It is one of two three-year medical
schools, as well as the McMaster University Medical School

The Doctor of Medicine program was founded in 1970.
One of two fully accredited medical schools in Canada
that offers a three-year MD program. The program is
