Tea is one of the most important parts of English life. There’s nobody
in England who is indifferent to tea. The famous English writer George
Orwell proposed his golden rules for brewing tea:
1. Tea should from India or Ceylon.
2. Tea should be brewed in teapot.
3. Tea must be strong.
4. Tea should be drunk from high cylindrical cups.
5. Before the milk is added to the tea.
6. Tea should never be drunk with sugar, it spoils the taste.

Social rules are an important part of the culture as they
passed down through history. The British have an expression
for following these «unwritten rules»: «When in Rome, do as
the Romans do».
