sufficient demand. Alchemy is a philosophical tradition
searching for the philosopher's stone, which is said to have

the elixir of life, which makes or keeps the drinker young and
immortal. As mentioned in Harry Potter and the
Philosopher's Stone, Nicholas Flamel created a Philosopher's
Stone, but it was destroyed at the end of Harry's first year.

Forgetfulness Potion
We’ve all had awkward encounters we would love to forget at some stage in our
lives, and thankfully, there’s a potion for that. But with Memory Charms usually
doing the job, is this potion really necessary? Perhaps if you don’t have a wand to
hand and need someone to forget something on the sly...
Confusing Concoction
This potion isn’t one we’d brew personally – there are enough confusing things in
the world as it is. But we see the appeal for mischief makers.
Babbling Beverage
We all get a bit tongue-tied now and then. A quick swig of Babbling Beverage and
you’ll be chatting away for hours. Problem solved. Until the babbling itself
becomes a new problem.
Hiccoughing Potion
Ah the Hiccoughing Potion – ever so useful if the hiccups are getting you down,
but really, that’s it. But we imagine it’s a good early potion to teach to Hogwarts
students learning the ropes.
Wolfsbane Potion

Amortentia is the strongest love potion in existence,
causing the person who consumes it to develop a powerful
infatuation for the person who administers it. Even though it
fails to create true love, it will temporarily make someone’s
crush fall head over heels in lust with them.
It’s important to note that the love potion does carry a risk of
going awry though. Romilda Vane finds this out the hard
way after she spikes a box of Chocolate Cauldrons meant
for Harry, but they somehow end up with Ron, who becomes
besotted with Romilda, much to her disappointment.
What can we say? It was obviously love at first bite.
