Examples:
1) If/When people get sick, they take medicine.
2) Everyone turns on the lights if/when it gets
dark.
3) If a person doesn’t eat meat, he/she is
probably a vegetarian.
NB! Обратите внимание на запятые в
предложениях .

3. FIRST CONDITIONAL

IF … PRESENT SIMPLE…,
… FUTURE SIMPLE
Examples:
1) If I find that book, I will bring it to you
tomorrow.
2) He will call us if he arrives today.
3) If you are at home now, we will come round.

4. SECOND CONDITIONAL

IF … PAST SIMPLE…,
WOULD + V
(wish, usually unreal concerning present or
future, it hardly possible)
Examples:
1) If I were rich, I would travel around the
world.
2) If it were Sunday today, I would go out with
my friends.
3) They would be happy if they had children.

5. THIRD CONDITIONAL

IF … PAST PERFECT …,
WOULD+HAVE+Ved / V3
(wish & regret concerning past)
Examples:
1) If you hadn’t forgotten your passport, we
wouldn’t have missed the train.
2) She wouldn’t have lost her cell phone if she
had put it into her bag.

рождения [а я не пригласила], если бы знала ее
хорошо [но я плохо знаю ее и поэтому не
пригласила.])
