Songjiang InterContinental hotel
This unusual Songjiang InterContinental hotel has appeared in the vicinity
of Shanghai, where there was an abandoned granite quarry. Given that
underground water has always accumulated at the bottom of the pit, it was
decided not to dry it, but rather to fill it with water as much as possible.
Thanks to this, two floors were made underwater, in one of which there is a
fish restaurant with huge panoramic windows, behind which you can
observe the amazing underwater world. The other is given over to a special
luxury apartment with a fantastic underwater landscape outside the
window. of course, this hotel has 18 floors. 16 of them are located below
ground level and only two rise above the surface.
Even the roof managed to be used, there is a huge park area on it, which
occupies 3 thousand square meters, serving as an original decoration and a
great place to relax, as well as additional protection of the room itself from
the effects of weather conditions. The total area of the complex is 428,200
square meters. meters.

criminals in the country has fallen to the lowest level in Europe –
57 prisoners per 100 thousand people. So here they decided to
make a little extravagance and convert some of the deserted
prisons into hotels.
This is how the House Arrest Hotel in Roermond appeared. This is
a former prison from 1863, the cells of which were turned into
luxury suites. Here you can even rent an entire compartment to
host a party for up to 200 people. The hotel offers The Jailer, The
Lawyer, The Director, and The Judge suites. Of course, the hotel
has access to Wi-Fi, TVs, a gourmet restaurant, a fitness center and
a sauna. The price for a room starts from € 112 per night.
