OXYMORON
Oxymoron is a figure of speech pairing two words
together that are opposing and/or contradictory.
Usually it combines two words: noun+ adj

OXYMORON: a detailed example
Bigger half
Halves must, by definition, be exactly equal.
To say that one half is bigger than another is an
oxymoron because it means that they can’t be
halves.

Hyperbole is a figure of speech in which an author

an extreme.

An epithet is a literary device that describes a person,
place, or object by accompanying or replacing it with a
descriptive word or phrase.
With the use of epithets, writers are able to describe
their characters and settings more vividly, in order to
give richer meanings to the text.
