“baker boy” caps are the real armour,
with a razor blade concealed in the
brim, giving the gang their ‘Peaky
Blinders’ . Moniker “baker boys” were
typically working-class hats and stood
out against more formal fedoras or
other wide brim hats worn by
wealthier classes. The series made
these simple caps very popular
nowadays

Peaky Blinders may have revived
an interest in narrow-ft tailoring,
waistcoats and fat caps but,
really, the core of what the gang
wear has never gone out of
fashion. Proper suits, long
woollen overcoats and sturdy
