Once upon a time, there was a girl.
Her mother died.

Her father married a mean woman.
The woman had two mean daughters.

The mean mother made the girl do all the cooking and washing.
The mean stepsisters called her "Cinderella".

Cinderella was nice to everyone.
Her best friends were the mice and pigeons

One day the king had a party.
He wanted to find a bride for the prince.
The mean stepsisters wore new dresses and put on make-up.

Cinderella wanted to be like the stepsisters and go to the party.

The mean mother did not let Cinderella go to the party.
She made Cinderella pick up beans she threw into the ashes

Cinderella cried and picked up the beans.
The pigeons helped her.

Cinderella asked to go to the party.
The mean mother threw the beans in the ashes again.
She made Cinderella pick up the beans.

11.

The mother and stepsisters went to the party.
Cinderella stayed home.

Cinderella was alone.
She cried.
But then…

… her fairy godmother came to her.
The fairy said, "I will help you. Find me a pumpkin, two mice, and a lizard.

Cinderella found the things the fairy asked for.

The fairy godmother changed the pumpkin into a carriage,
the two mice into two horses,
and the lizard into a coachman.

The fairy godmother gave Cinderella a beautiful dress and a pair of
beautiful glass slippers.
She told Cinderella she must be home by midnight.

Cinderella went to the party and danced with the prince.
He fell in love with her.

18.

At midnight Cinderella ran from the castle…

… and she lost one of her glass slippers.

20.

The prince found the glass slipper on the stairs.
He wanted to find Cinderella and marry her.

21.

The prince's servants went to find Cinderella.
Finally, they did.
The shoe fit.

Cinderella and the prince married.
They lived happily ever after.
