2. ORIGIN AND NAME

• The RED SQUARE is a square in RUSSIA,MOSCOW
which splits the KREMLINO ,the first royal
ACROPOLIS and today's official residence of the
PRESIDENT of the RUSSIA from a historical
district well known as KITAI GOROD. The RED
SQUARE consered as the CENTER SQUARE of the
MOSCOW and all of RUSSIA.

3. HISTORY

• The rich history of RED SQUARE is based on painting by
VASILI SYRIKOV,KONSTANTIN YUON and others. The
square was mean to serve as MOSCOW'S main
marketplace .It was also the site of various public
ceremonies and proclamations and occasionally a
coronation for RUSSIA'S TSARS would take place .The
square has been gradually built up since that point and
has been used for official ceremonies by all Russian
governments since it was established.
