Present Continuous употребляется для
выражения действия, которое происходит в
настоящее время, в момент речи.

Оно образуется при помощи
вспомогательного глагола
to be (am, is, are)
и добавления – ing к
смысловому глаголу
(действию):
I am reading a book now.
He is sitting now.
They are playing hockey now.

O конечная согласная удваивается в односложных и
двусложных глаголах с предшествующей краткой
