Alaska is known for its large glacial.
The Mendenhall Glacier is a
federally protected 12 mile long
glacier in the Mendenhall Valley.
It is recognized by the
impressive caves it carries inside
called the Ice Caves. To reach
this caves, you will have to
kayak, hike and climb the glacier.
Not many people actually do this
excursion but it is mesmerizing
the view you will experience.

• As a consequence of Global
Warming, the glacier have
started to melt and the caves
were its product. The water
carved caves in the interior,
giving it the incredible
turquoise-toned panorama. It’s
sad to know that this incredible
place has its time counted. As
the glacier keeps melting, this
cave will soon disappear. The
crazy thing is that as the
Mendenhall Glacier melt and
some caves disappear, a new
panorama is forming, the
Mendenhall Lake.
