Stratford-upon-Avon is an old, small and incredibly charming town situated on
the banks of the river Avon. It is a birthplace of William Shakespeare.
Famous Shakespeare's monument is situated in the Bancroft gardens.

In the center of this architectural complex there is a figure of
Shakespeare on a huge pedestal. The statue sits on the chair
and watches with a slight smile at what is happening around.

The corners are tiled and decorated with flowers. Around the
central monument there are four smaller figures, also situated on
pedestals.
It's bloody Lady Macbeth, with her head wrapped in a cloak.

The choice of the characters was caused by the desire of the
sculptor to show the different sides of Shakespeare's genius:
