Transport in the past and now

1.

Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation
and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out
loud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes to read it.
Most transport media in use today are generally fossil fuel powered. The
reason for this is the ease of use and the existence of mature technologies harnessing
this fuel source. The drawbacks of such transportation media are that they are heavily
polluting, and rely on limited energy sources.
Many ideas exist which try to either harness renewable forms of energy,
more efficiently use fossil fuel, or use human power, or some hybrid of these, to
transport people and things.
Future cars are seen as fuel efficient, zero emission vehicles that will use
high tech electronics to assist drivers in a wide variety of ways. Vehicles will
communicate with each other, with the road and with traffic signals.
Autos and trucks of the future will use vision enhancement devices to help
you navigate through bad weather and warn you of a possible collision with a
pedestrian or animal. They will also let you know if you are getting drowsy or straying
from your lane.
Artificial intelligence is poised to change the way we drive. Major
manufacturers are developing self-driving cars, buses and taxis that let A.I. to take the
wheel.
Cars of the future will be radically different than the automobiles of today,
and so will the driving experience.
