Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the
night of October 31. Traditional activities
include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume
parties, visiting "haunted houses" and
carving jack-o-lanterns

Halloween in France is usually celebrated
by costumed people of all ages going to
parties at friends' homes, restaurants,
bars, or clubs. The costumes themselves
tend to be traditionally "scary" mummies, ghosts, goblins, witches, and
vampires

that the fires attracted insects
