The modern name is the «Сollegiate
church of St Peter in Westminster”.
It’s a “family” church of the royal
family. Kings and queens were
married and crowned in the church.
Современное название «Коллегиальная
церковь св. Петра в Вестминстере». Это
«семейная» церковь королевской семьи.
Короли и королевы женятся и
коронуются здесь.

West church is a striking example of
Gothic architecture.
It impresses us by it’s size, richness
of architecture and interior.
Церковь яркий образец готической
архитектуры.
Она поражает своими размерами,
богатством архитектуры и внутренним
интерьером.

There are several interesting places in
the church, such as: Poet corner,
chapel of Edward the Confessor,
Henry VII, Pix Cham; center House;
tomb of the unknown soldier.
В церкви есть несколько интересных

Post's corner is the burial place of the
great writers, poet’s playwrights.
The most famous are William
Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, sir
Walter Scott, Rudyard Kipling and
other’s.

The history of church dates back to the
Middle Ages or even the earliest times.
As 900 years ago St. Peter found the first
church on the place, where the abbot is
now situated.
