Frank Lloyd Wright was born inthe USA in 1869.
He worked in the Addler and
Sullivan’s office in Chicaco.
Frank Lloyd Wright died on 9
April 1959.
In his long career he left a
thousand designs.
He designed also furniture,
stuff, lamps and clothing;
Wright was a writer, educator
and philosopher.
3. THE IMPERIAL HOTEL
The ImperialHotel was set in a
wood of a hill and
it was in the
heart of Tokyo.
The structure of
this building was
studied to resist
to fire and
earthquake.
4. THE SOLOMON GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM
The Solomon Guggenheim museum was thepoetical aspect of Wright.
The space is free and grows upwards with
a spiral form.
The diameters of spires of the six floors
consent the passage of light.

THE PRAIRIE HOUSE1. Interior must be a whole space;

dimensioned to human scale;

This house was built with a series of slabs to
jump.
On the main floor there is a fire-place that
is the core of the composition.
The fall is at the base, springing out of a a
stone and concrete support.
7. ORGANIC ARCHITECTURE
Organic architecture exalts the relationship between nature and man, thecreation of a new system between built and natural surrounding. This style
was independent from every classicism.
