2. Module Overview

This module focuses on the fundamental theories
of modern ecology and environmental chemistry
as a basis for understanding the main processes
in the arctic ecosystems under the influence of
anthropogenic impact.
The module provides an introduction to the
challenges what the responses occur under the
influence of pollution on ecosystems in northern
latitudes.
The course focuses on the study of the current
state of the biosphere and chemical pollution of
the Arctic ecosystems. Basis chemical analysis
of different environments will be discussed.
