2. Ideas

• Needs to look like an epic wave but not mechanical,
organic
– Include surface texture (not too choppy, not oil smooth)
• Model should stand alone as if it were to set in front of
a table
• Model will be 3D printed and eventually made into a
wax mold, appropriate resolution of the spray of the
breaking wave will be critical for realism but can’t be to
fine as it won’t print correctly

4. Note that the water level at the back of the wave is significantly higher than in front, possible a good place for the wick would be behind the wave

5. The part of the wave that is broken will be critical to get to look right, a lot of spray is not required. The focus of the sculpture should be on the curl and the area to be surfed

7. A Frames

• The A frame model looks good but is not as
commonly recognized as a surfing wave.
