studied drums from
Sanford Moeller,
well known among
all drummers for his
famous technique
In 1934 Krupa joined the very famous Benny
Goodman orchestra and that’s where he
belonged. He worked with Goodman until 1938
and became a real star. His colleagues later said
he sometimes got wild while playing and the
crushing sound of his drums made an actual
sound of Benny Goodman’s orchestra.

formed his own

1943 he was
arrested for
possession of
marijuana, so he
