4. Introduction and purpose to the unit

Well water is pumped from four 50m
deep wells approximately 6km north of
the LNG site to supply the construction
camp with water in the early stage. Later
the LNG site will be supplied.

6. Process Description

Wells and Pumps:
Each well is 50 meters deep.
The pumps are submerged-type
with a capacity of 50m3 for each
pump.
Water is pumped by four
well pumps to two common
underground pipelines to the
LNG site and the Construction
camp.

7. Process overview

Pipelines:
The HDPE pipes (high density polyethylene) are located
underground below the frost line. Any aboveground pipes
are insulated and heat traced.
The pipes run through hilly terrain with a maximum
elevation of approximately 100 meters from the bottom of the
wells.
Each line has a maximum capacity of 100m3.

Four Well Shelters.
The well heads and above
ground discharge piping are
protected from the elements by
heated shelters.
Two HDPE pipelines (high
density polyethylene) each
6.3km long.

Operation of valves in the underground valves pit
The pits can accumulate toxic gases and be low on oxygen.
