• Pioneer of Luxury River Cruising in India (Est. 2009) Founded by Raj Singh, Antara Cruises
launched India's first luxury river cruise from Kolkata to Varanasi in 2009. Over the years, it
expanded to routes covering Dhaka (2018) and an epic multi-city itinerary linking Varanasi–
Kolkata–Dhaka–Guwahati by 2023.
• Sailing India's Mighty River Systems Antara operates across four major waterways the Ganges
(NW1), Brahmaputra (NW2), Brahmani (NW5, Odisha), and an exclusive Indo-Bangladesh crossborder route. This makes Antara the only cruise line offering seamless travel across India's most
historically and spiritually significant rivers.

• A Distinguished Fleet of Boutique Ships Antara operates nine vessels, each designed with a
distinct character from the intimate 1-suite MV Nauka Vilas to the 36-suite flagship MV Ganga
Vilas spanning 205 ft. Interiors blend Burmese teak craftsmanship, art deco influences, and
panoramic balcony windows to deliver an unmatched floating-palace experience.
• World-Class On-board Amenities & Sustainable Practices Every ship features all-suite
accommodations, vegetarian dining with Michelin-inspired regional cuisine, spa & fitness
centres, butler service, and cultural performances. Antara leads in eco-conscious cruising
incorporating sewage treatment systems, shore power connections, eco-friendly lighting,
bamboo straws, and dolphin-deterrent devices.
• ₹800 Crore Expansion & India's Inland Waterway Future In February 2025, Antara signed a
landmark MoU with the West Bengal government, committing ₹800 crore in infrastructure
investment over five years. With four new ships under development and plans to explore
Kerala, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha waterways, Antara is set to
redefine river tourism in India.
