Oil and Gas ProductionDepartment
"Kainarmunaigas"
Kainarmunaygaz is a production division of
Embamunaygaz JSC. It was established in 1995 in the
Kyzylkoginsky District of Atyrau Region. The company
develops five fields and is engaged in oil and gas
production and processing.

NGDU Kainarmunaygas is one of Kazakhstan'soil and gas production units. Below is a
detailed and structured explanation to help
you understand how it's structured and what it
does.
Main functions
NGDU Kainarmunaygaz is engaged in the full cycle
of hydrocarbon production:
1. Oil and gas production
• drilling and operation of wells
• lifting oil from depth (usually 500–1500 m)
2. Preparation and processing
• primary oil refining
• separation of water, gas, and impurities
3. Transportation
• supply of oil to pipelines
• transfer to processing or export facilities

Connecting lines totransformers
During my internship, I participated in connecting electrical lines to transformer substations.
This included preparing cables, stripping conductors, installing lugs, and connecting to
transformer terminals.
Particular attention was paid to proper connections, adherence to
connection diagrams, and phase markings. Insulation, contact
reliability, and the absence of damage were checked. After connection,
equipment was tested to ensure safe and stable operation of the
electrical network.
5.
Registration of a work permitDuring my internship, I learned how to prepare a work
permit. This is an important document that ensures safety
during electrical installation and repair work.
I also became familiar with the procedure for access to work,
monitoring the progress of work, and closing the work order
after completion of the work.
I reviewed the work order procedure, including the type of
work, location, crew composition, and responsible persons.
Particular attention was paid to safety measures, such as
disconnecting equipment, grounding, and using protective
equipment.

Reversing magnetic starterThis is an electromechanical device consisting of two
contactors, mechanically and electrically linked, for
controlling three-phase electric motors: starting, stopping,
and changing the direction of rotation (reversing) by
switching two phases. A safety interlock prevents both
contactors from being activated simultaneously, preventing
an interphase short circuit.
7.
Assembling a magneticreversing starter
I was involved in the assembly and study of the operation of a
magnetic reversing starter, which is used to change the
direction of rotation of an electric motor.
During the work, I studied the wiring diagram for the
contactors, control buttons ("Start," "Stop"), and interlocks. I
mastered the principle of the reverser, which reverses the
phases. I also checked the circuit's functionality, testing the
motor's activation and rotation direction.

Repair of electric motors andtheir connection to wells
During my internship at Embamunaygaz, I was involved in repairing electric motors used for
oil well servicing. The main tasks included troubleshooting, disassembling the motor, and
inspecting the condition of the windings, bearings, and insulation. Particular attention was
paid to identifying overheating, short circuits, and mechanical damage.
Following repairs, the electric motors were connected to the well power
system. This included laying cable lines, checking phasing, ensuring
reliable grounding, and testing the motor's operation under load.
Safety requirements for working with high-voltage equipment were
also observed.

Installation and dismantling ofelectrical cabinets
During dismantling, a strict sequence of actions was followed: first
disconnecting the power supply, checking for the absence of voltage,
marking the wires, and carefully disconnecting all components. This
helped avoid errors when reconnecting the equipment.
Particular attention was paid to safety, proper workplace organization,
and equipment safety. I also studied the internal structure of cabinets and
how they operate within the plant's electrical system.
During my internship, I participated in the installation and dismantling of
electrical control and distribution cabinets. Installation work included
positioning the cabinet in its prepared location, aligning it, and securing it
securely. Cable connections were also performed, along with the
installation of circuit breakers, contactors, and other electrical
components.
