comes later
• Your home – as a
psychological construct

3. The Fortress of Silence
HOUSE VS. HOMEWhat happens when
walls become a trap?
• You build new walls
– not of brick, but of
silence. You filter
every word, rehearse
conversations, make
yourself small. It is a
survival mechanism.

home? (1 – not safe at all,

THE END OF SAFE CONNECTIONSAbuse thrives where
people cannot trust
each other.
Do students feel the need to
filter what they say at home?
One of the abuser’s first
moves is to destroy
horizontal connections –
friends, neighbors, even
family. You are told:
“You can’t trust anyone
outside this family.”
Loyalty is redefined as
silence.
• Never – 42.7%
• Only sensitive topics – 38.7%
• Always – 18.7%
5. Domestic-Scale Stockholm Syndrome
When stress becomesconstant and there seems to

a terrible thing: it adapts.
The thought arises: “If I
cannot change the situation, I
must accept it as right. If this
is love, then the pain
becomes easier to bear.”
Would students confide in
people outside their close circle
if they had a serious problem?

• Yes, if their life is threatened – 32%
• No – 20%
6. Creating Micro-Worlds and Inner Emigration
HOW DO YOU SURVIVE WITHOUT LOSING YOURSELF ENTIRELY?How do you survive
without losing yourself
entirely?
You don’t try to fix everything
at once. You fight for a small
space – one square meter where
the tyranny has no power. This
is how you restore control over
the small when control over the
large is lost

Hobbies (reading, art, gardening, etc.) – 33.3%
Acquiring new skills – 9.3%
Learning foreign languages – 6.7%
Distracting themselves / escapism – 2.6% (combined)
I don’t experience such feelings – 1.3%

CONCLUSION:HOME IS WHERE YOU DON’T HAVE TO HIDE THE TRUTH
Can a person truly “feel at home” in a
place where they have to hide their
thoughts and feelings?
Students answered clearly: 86.7% said no –
honesty is the foundation of home and
relationships. Only 13.3% believed that inner
freedom is enough.
Physically? Yes. A house is possible.
Metaphysically? No. Because home is not just a
house. A true home is where you feel like a
person – where you do not have to hide your
emotions to survive.
