2. History of Disneyland

• Disneyland is an amusement park in Anaheim,
California, USA, and the first of the Walt Disney
Company's theme parks. It opened on July 17, 1955.

• The idea for Disneyland came to Walt Disney while he and his
daughters were visiting various amusement parks in the 1930s
and 1940s. Disney wanted to create a world where both adults

• In 2001, Disney California Adventure Park was established on the site
of Disneyland's original parking lot.

• At The Haunted Mansion, 999 ghosts try to scare visitors. Those
who pass the experience receive a certificate.
• Disneyland has a ride called "Mad Tea Party," where cups spin at
different speeds. The purple cup spins faster than the others.
