We use the Future Tense for
actions which will happen in
the future.

3. Time expressions used with the Future Tense:

Tomorrow
Tonight
Soon
Next week/ month/year etc
In a week/ month etc.
For example: I will go to the cinema
tomorrow.

4. Will….

Is used to express predictions,
warnings, offers, promises, threats,
requests, suggestions, on-the-spot
decisions, opinions, hopes and fears.
For example:
Life will be better fifty years from now.

5. «Shall» can be used….

When we offer to do something for
someone else.
For example:
Shall I help you clean your room?
When we want to make a suggestion.
For example:
Shall we go to the theatre tonight?

6. «Will» is used…

To express on-the-spot
decisions and promises.
For example:
I`ll help you with your homework.

7. «Will» is used…

For future actions which may or
may not happen.
For example:
We will visit Disney World one day.

8. «Will» can be used…

For threats or warnings.
For example:
Stop or I`ll shoot.
With the expressions I`m sure,
I`m afraid and the adverbs

For plans and intentions we have
about the near future.
For example:
