3. What time is it?

WHAT TIME IS IT?
When the minute hand in on
twelve, we read the time as
“o’clock”
It’s three o’clock – три часа

When the minute hand and hour
hand are both on twelve in the
afternoon, we read the time as
“noon” (полдень)
When the minute hand and hour
hand are both on twelve at night,
we read the time as “midnight”
(полночь)

We read the time between the
midnight and the noon as “a.m.”
It’s three a.m. – три часа дня
We read the time between the
noon and the midnight as “p.m.”
It’s three p.m. – три часа ночи
