The morning starts at six
Getting up at 6 a.m. has become a ritual. A quick
cup of tea, a quick sandwich, and straight to the
garage. Today, it's the VAZ-2114, and the brake pads
need to be replaced. As usual, the owner delayed the
process until the last minute.
I understand him — everyone's having trouble with
money right now. Work goes on as usual: familiar
movements, the smell of machine oil, the sound of
tools. Everything is as usual, everything is familiar.

Evening thoughts
Sergey invited me to the bathhouse after
work, but I refused. I'm going to visit my
mother tomorrow, so I need to get ready,
shave, and prepare a clean shirt.
She was so happy about the restored dresser
last Sunday... Maybe I'll give her an owl as
well? My mother always understood my
hobbies better than anyone else.

Life seems to have frozen between the garage
and the apartment. Money for a house in the
country is slowly accumulating, and it's scary.

What if it doesn't work out?
This question haunts me. Leaving stability for
the sake of uncertainty is so Russian and so
scary at the same time.

It's a strange feeling.
But when I carve in the evenings, I feel like this
is my true path.

at thirty?
Life says that at thirty, it's just the beginning.
I wonder if they believe it themselves. And
I... I want to believe it. Between the chisel
and the wrench lies a whole life—my life,
which I still have to live.
