AL-FARABI LIBRARY
Al-Farabi Library is a structural unit of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University, which
was established at the same time as the university in 1934.
The library is located on the campus of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – in a
unique and beautiful campus known as "KazGUgrad".
Al-Farabi Library is the information, educational, and cultural center of our university. It
promotes quality education and trains highly qualified specialists. The library provides a
book collection that corresponds to the educational programs of our university, as well as
modern electronic resources.
The total area of Al-Farabi Library is 17,856.6 sq.m.
The library's book collection is 2,243,761 copies.
It provides information and library services for 2,259 teaching staff, employees, and
27,902 university students.
The availability of modern, technically equipped conference facilities makes it possible
for the university to host a variety of international scientific and professional conferences,
forums, and other events.

The library creates favorable conditions not only for preparing and
passing exams, but also for relaxing between exams.

COMMUNICATIVE-EXHIBITIONAL SPACE
The library has a spacious and well-equipped exhibition hall, which covers an area of over 1,519.6 square meters. It also has two conference rooms, one
with a capacity of 300 people and the other with 80 seats. These conference rooms are located on the fourth floor of the building, along with various other
rooms such as halls, lobbies and foyers. The exhibition hall and conference rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technical facilities, making them
suitable for hosting a variety of events such as conferences, briefings, press conferences, negotiations, training sessions and seminars.
