There are more than 100 universities in the UnitedArab Emirates, 3 of which are public:
UAE University (University of the United Arab
Emirates in Al Ain);
Zayed University (Sheikh Zayed University);
Higher Colleges of Technology (Colleges of Higher
Technical Education).
Every year, about 15 thousand students
study at each of the UAE state universities,
including foreigners. State universities offer
many different programs.

Theoretical and practical classes are conducted by professors sent to the UAE from the mainuniversities. The training programs in most branches are based on the multi-stage British
educational system. In 3-4 years of study at any of these international universities, you can
obtain a bachelor's degree, the duration of study for a master's program is usually 2-3 years,
depending on the chosen university, faculty and specialty.

There are also private universities in the UAE that offer training in various programs.
In addition, there are more than 30 campuses of universities from the
USA, Great Britain, Australia, Switzerland, Belgium and even Russia
in the Emirates. Training is prееovided in more than 80 specialties, the highest competition is in
the areas of finance and banking, tourism and hotel business, architecture and information
technology.
Studying at private universities in the UAE is fee-based for all students - both foreigners and
residents of the country, and only full-time education is available. Teaching at branches of
world-famous universities, such as the University of Paris Sorbonne (Sorbonne), New York
University (New York University), University of Washington (University of Washington) and
others is conducted in English, except for the Sorbonne, where classes are held in French.

القوة في التعلمEach educational institution offers different programs of study, as well as conditions of
residence and admission. However, there are several requirements common to all
universities.
Since most higher education institutions, both public and private, teach according to the
British system, which is characterized by 12 years of secondary education, an applicant
from Russia studying in an 11-year program will have to compensate for the missing year
in one of the following ways:
Transfer to a UAE university after a year of study at a domestic
university;
Complete training in the Foundation preparatory program.
The last option is perhaps the most preferable, as it will not only make up
for the missing year of study, but will also help the student to get used to
a new country and adapt to the educational process before admission.
The applicant must submit a package of documents to the admissions committee. The set of papers
required for admission can vary greatly in different universities.

The cost of education in the UAE may vary depending on thechosen university, faculty and specialty. However, it is fair to say
that education in this country is not cheap. On average, a year
of study costs about 20,000 USD, and this does not include the
cost of living. There is no free higher education in the UAE for
foreign citizens.
However, in the case of excellent studies and active social
activities, a student can apply for a scholarship that covers from
5 to 100% of the cost of tuition. Also, some universities provide
monthly scholarships to students with high academic
performance. The amount of such a scholarship is approximately
500 USD.

The United Arab Emirates is an activelydeveloping country that is interested in the
influx of highly qualified personnel. Therefore,
during their studies, students have the
opportunity to complete an internship and,
after its successful completion, get a job in
large UAE companies. For those who are
particularly goal-oriented, higher education
obtained in the United Arab Emirates will
become a starting point on the path to
obtaining a prestigious, highly paid position in
any country in the world. If a graduate does
not want to leave the country he has loved
during his years of study, he can find a job in
the Emirates in his specialty and, after some
time, even apply for a residence permit.
