BiographyMatisse is French. He lived and worked in
Paris.When Matisse was 21 years old, he
went to the hospital, he had to stay there
for two months. So that he would not be
bored, his mother brought him painting
supplies. This is how Matisse first began
to draw. This interested him so much that

School of Fine Arts.
