«Құда түсу» is also a Kazakh wedding
tradition where the groom's family visits the
bride's family to propose marriage.
The practice an ancient roots and is
still followed by many Kazakh
families as a way to preserve the
cultural heritage and demonstrate
respect for their elders.

During the «Құда түсу» ceremony, representatives from the groom's family will often
bring gifts such as sweets, fruits, and other traditional items to the bride's family as a
token of their sincerity and eagerness to form a wedding alliance.
The two families will they discuss the terms and arrangements of the upcoming wedding
ceremony, including the day and expenses.

The fathers of the bride and groom
were called «бауыздау құда», that is,
the closest.
The most important representative of
the marriage proposal was called
«бас құда» (by tradition, taking care
of the bride after the wedding).
The bride's side offered a ceremonial
treat of liver and fat fat («куйрык
бауыр»).
