In the 7th century BCE, they started
building the wall, and it took many
centuries. They finished it in 1644 .
This project was about bringing
together different parts of China
and keeping it safe from outside
problems.

The Chinese Wall isn’t just a wall.
It has lots of big towers used for
watching and connecting different
parts of the wall. These towers
were also for soldiers and storing
things they needed.
