Our Story
Our Purpose
Maison Poire is a home décor brand bringing together traditional Indian block print techniques and old-world European designs. Influenced by life in
Paris, our hope is to bring the art of handcrafted textiles into your everyday life.
Our Story
Meet our founder, Molly Garat. In 2014, she ventured to New Delhi on a business trip. Like many, she fell in love with the markets, the people, the
colors, the prints, and the vibrance of India. She left feeling inspired, wanting to find a way to collaborate with artisans in an effort to bring their work
and craftsmanship to those who appreciate unique and thoughtfully made products.
Over the years, while working as a corporate communications consultant in Paris, Molly kept going back to the idea of starting a brand. Growing up
with entrepreneurial parents working in the creative field, she was naturally drawn to this world. She saw a niche in the market for a more modern
take on block printing. This idea of merging European designs with traditional Indian block-printed techniques, and eco-friendly cottons, was a
concept that she couldn’t shake. She was also passionate about the process, finding partners enthusiastic about innovation and minimizing waste.
As she started to develop the brand, the pear’s (‘poire’ in French) colors, shape and connection to nature resonated. Almost ten years later, Maison
Poire was created. Our collections are continuously inspired by Paris and its art, design and culture. From the minimalist aesthetic of Brancusi’s
studio to the elegance of everyday life. This is the core essence of Maison Poire.

This is a handmade product using block-print techniques. Small smudges and other imperfections are normal. By purchasing this
handmade piece, you’re helping preserve a craftsmanship and artisan communities. We thank you for your support.

with modern florals.

Button closure at the bottom of the duvet
Gentle cold wash with mild detergent recommended. Air dry. Do not bleach. Iron on medium setting
Product is made entirely by hand; subtle nuances are part of the charm
