for Chinese people. There are many activities to
celebrate it.

Firstly, people clean the house to sweep away bad luck.
They also buy new clothes and prepare delicious food
for the New Year’s dinner.

And children can get lucky money from the
elders during the festival.

On New Year’s Eve, people have a family reunion
dinner. Later they watch the Spring Festival Gala on
CCTV and stay up late to wait for the arrival of the
New Year.
