Country with great history■
Many historians say that
the history of Russia
begins with 864. Rurik
became the Prince of
Novgorod and all the
Northern regions. Since
882, Prince Oleg the
Prophetic sits on the
princely throne in Kiev
and unites the South and
North of Russia. Kiev
became the capital.
4.
■■
After Rurik's death, Oleg became the
Prince. He expanded the borders of the
state, strengthened it at the international
level, and actively protected it from external
enemies.
Kievan Rus became a powerful state during
the princely period. She was respected by
other countries.
5.
■■
However, the order was disrupted when civil
strife and power struggles began. Therefore,
in the middle of the 12th century, the one
great old Russian state of Kievan Rus was
divided into small principalities.
The emergence of small principalities led to
the emergence of a new form of statehoodSpecific Rus.
6.
■There have been strong
changes in the country
that relate to territorial
issues, political structure,
daily life and culture. But
the biggest problem is
external enemies. The
appanage principalities
could not resist the
Mongol yoke, so Russia
was under its rule for
many years.

■
In the history of Russia there was a period of kingship. It lasted from
1547 to 1721. It was formed on the basis of the Moscow Principality.
Ivan the terrible collected all the lands and in 1547 declared himself
king. So the Russian Kingdom was created. The new form of state
provided centralized governance.
At this time, there was the
rise of the state, and the
times of troubles, and not
without wars.
8.
■■
Then there was the Russian Empire. The history of the
Russian Empire spans less than two centuries, but it is
marked by a large number of fateful events for our country.
This is a period of wars and campaigns.
Despite many military campaigns, there were many reforms.

■
The next state was called the USSR.
At the beginning of its existence, the USSR
flourishes and became powerful on the world stage,
this is a great credit to the stability of the leadership.
But as soon as the endless changes of General
secretaries began, especially in the 80's, the
country began to move inexorably towards collapse.
Industry and agriculture are developing rapidly, and
attention is being paid to the defense industry. The
country has survived wars.

Russian Federation
Russia was going through hard times. The country was able to
restore its previous balance and key indicators only by 2014,
when Russia took its place in the multipolar world.
The development of all its spheres is beginning, the economy
is developing, and Russia is strengthening its position in the
international arena.

■To see the beauty of the world, you do
not need to take a visa to other
countries. After all, Russia has
everything: from wild nature, where
people can't get to, to unique and
beautiful cities that resemble European
capitals more.

Hospitable Russia and friendlyRussians
■
Russian hospitality demonstrated not
only material generosity, but also the
greatness of the human soul. The
combination of generosity and respect
for people acted as a guarantee that a
person will never know loneliness, and
his house will never be empty.
27.
Russia has long had a tradition ofhospitality.

Many foreigners who have visited thecountry also speak about the
friendliness of Russians.
■ Next, I will quote one of the statements
of a man from England.
■
33.
■«I'm from England, but I've spent some time in Russia. Since I came from a country where all polite Russians
seemed rude to me at first — they didn't stand in line, say thank you and please, didn't give me change (but
instead put it on a small saucer), didn't answer the question "what time is it?» But in reality, these are just
cultural differences, and when you get to know Russians better, you realize that they are the warmest and
friendliest people on earth.
■
It seems to me that they are mostly not materialistic and very simple. They like to socialize: in England, people
go to the pub to get drunk, and in Russia-to chat with friends, to knock down a couple of shots and eat a little
(food, by the way, helps to absorb alcohol, so unlike the English in the morning, Russians do not turn into
disgusting pathetic drunkards).
■
Russians can be very stubborn (don't get into an argument with a Russian!). When I was studying there, I
often met Russians who always wanted to teach an Englishman how to drink vodka correctly (you need to
drink a little, then have a snack with dried meat, pickled cucumber or silotka).
■
Russians are very educated, especially they know a lot about science and culture, and they are also patriots
and proud of their country.
■
It is considered that Russian women are the most beautiful in the world. This is not true: Russian women seem
like this because they put a lot of effort to look like this. It seems that in Russia, a woman will not leave the
house until she is sure that she looks stunning. And since people walk a lot in Russia (people have fewer cars
than in the West; and even if there is a car, the Parking lot is 30 minutes from the desired location), Russians
are leaner.
■
Russian men are gentlemen. They ALWAYS pay at the restaurant, open and hold the door, give flowers, walk
home.»

Russia's achievements can be seen in
many areas of life: science, music, and

■It will take a long time to get to know
all of Russia. Rich history, beautiful
views, famous personalities... This is
our homeland. We were born and
raised here, so it is important not only
to study it ourselves, but also to tell
about it in other countries.
